NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. This is a notice of intent to solicit and award a sole source contract set forth in accordance with the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)12.102(a), Restricting competition.
The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 12 (NCO-12) Great Lakes Acquisition Center, intends to negotiate a sole source Firm-Fixed Price, one-time purchase/one-time delivery contract to Sun Nuclear Corporation: 3275 Suntree Blvd, Melbourne, FL 32940 USA.IAW Federal Acquisition Regulation/Revolutionary FAR Overhaul 12.102. This is for procurement of the Sun Nuclear Daily QA 4 Pro Checker for the Medical Specialty Department located at Clement J Zablocki Veterans Affairs Medical Center: 5000 W National Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53295. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is, 334519 - Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing. The Product of Service Code for this requirement is 6515 - Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies. This announcement is being issued for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or request for competitive proposals. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. Respondents who submit proprietary data shall clearly mark the data with appropriate markings. Those interested firms must indicate whether they are large, small, small-disadvantaged, 8(a) or woman owned business and whether they are U.S. or foreign owned.
The Government will not pay for any information submitted as a result of this announcement. This special notice shall not be construed as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. Responses are due no later than Friday, July 17, 2026 at 7:00 PM Central Standard Time. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no written response is received within the closing date of this notice, a sole source award will be made to Sun Nuclear Corp. without any further notice.
