Sealed Bids for the Thorne Drive Basin Retrofit will be received online by Westtown Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania until June 11, 2024. Online bids shall be submitted by way of the PennBid program. All documents and solicitation details are available online at no cost except to the successful bidder at PennBid – www.PennBid.net. A nominal fee will be assessed only to the bidder who is awarded a contract. For bidders who are not awarded contracts, there are absolutely no fees. The Project consists of the restoration and conversion of an existing stormwater basin into a Wet Pond/Retention Basin. This work includes but is not limited to the excavation of soil from basin, installation of new outlet structure, installation of headwalls, rip rap aprons, and plantings. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, as indicated in the Bid Form. No Pre-Bid Meeting will be held for this project. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Attention is called to the fact that prevailing minimum wage rates as determined by the Secretary of the Department of Labor and Industry must be paid by the Contractors on this project and that employees and applicants for employment shall not be discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. Each Bidder is required to meet the requirements of Public Works Employment Verification Act, Act 127 of 2012.
