Town of Didsbury - Request for Proposal - Didsbury Tree Project

• Supply and planting of approximately 100 trees at the Didsbury Rosebud Valley Campground and along designated municipal boulevards. • Site preparation at each planting location, including any grading, soil amendment, and clearing required for successful establishment. • Selection of tree species in consultation with, and subject to approval by, the Town's Public Works and Infrastructure department, appropriate to boulevard and campground growing conditions. • Coordination with Town staff on planting locations, scheduling, and any required utility locates prior to ground disturbance. • Provision of post-planting care recommendations (e.g., staking, mulching, watering schedule) to support tree establishment. • Compliance with all applicable municipal bylaws, permitting requirements, and public safety standards throughout the course of the work.
The Owner intends to select from applicants to this RFP a Contractor (herein after called the Contractor) responsible for all stages of the Project. This will involve, but not be limited to: Company profile, relevant experience, and qualifications, including examples of comparable municipal tree-planting or landscaping projects. Proposed methodology and work plan for site preparation and planting of approximately 100 trees at the identified locations. Proposed tree species recommendations suited to boulevard and campground conditions in Didsbury's climate zone Detailed cost breakdown, itemized by site preparation, tree supply, planting, and any post-planting care services, not to exceed the approved capital budget Proposed project schedule aligned with the Town's estimated timeline (Sep 2026-Sep 2027) References from at least two comparable municipal or institutional clients.
