Trade Package - Cargo Building 720.1 & GSE Building 742 Project - TP 02A - Demolition

The contract involves Skanska USA Building as the design-builder for a comprehensive cargo facility project at an unspecified location in California, managed by SFO Construction. The project entails replacing an existing single-story cargo building of approximately 120,000 square feet, which includes about 95,000 square feet dedicated to cargo operations and 25,000 square feet of mezzanine office space. Additionally, a separate 17,000 square foot Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Maintenance Facility will be constructed nearby but not physically connected to the main cargo building. Construction will require the demolition of two existing buildings, one single-story of around 35,000 square feet and a two-story structure of approximately 10,000 square feet, along with related hardscapes and apron areas to facilitate new utility placements. The scope of the current trade package, designated as Demolition (Trade Package No. 02A), is limited to prequalification, with actual bids due by November 21, 2024. The estimated cost for this demolition work is approximately $2 million, involving laborers and operators, with a minimum of 16% participation from Local Business Enterprises (LBE).
