Transformer Cards

Transformer cards must be manufactured using a .020 inch polyvinylchloride base with a writable U10 coating compatible with pencil, pen, or permanent marker, and feature .003 inch MYLAR u1003 overlaminating flaps compliant with Federal Specification L-P-377B. The cards include 90 pound kraft coated one side liners and an extra cross-linked permanent acrylic adhesive .001 inch thick, meeting PSTC #1 standards with a 72-hour dwell time on stainless steel, a 65 oz/square inch bond strength at 25 degrees C, Class I track factor, 98% transparency, and no degradation after 168 hours of water immersion at 21 degrees C. The adhesive must function reliably across a temperature range of 32 to 250 degrees F and remain stable in lower alkyl alcohols, 248 degree F oil, and lower aliphatic hydrocarbons. The cards are to be yellow in color with standard black ink U71 containing pulverized carbon U105 and ultraviolet absorbers U2003, applied with computer-controlled dry thickness of .0007 inch. Standard 1/4 inch diameter brass eyelets are required, and inserts must be selected from MYLAR white U81511 or U81414, white paper U05, white TYVEK U90, or natural NOMEX U40, all cut from 8.5 x 11 inch sheets and coated with U010 for laser printer compatibility. Dimensions are fixed at 4 x 6 inches, and layout and design must follow supplied drawings. The product must comply with ANSI Z535.3, ANSI Z535.2, MIL-M-43719B Class 1 Type I, MIL-M-22106 Type V PPT-T-76, MIL-P-8793A (AS6), MIL-1-45208A UL9C9, OSHA, APWA, and REA standards.
