INTENT: The City & Borough of Juneau - Capital City Fire Rescue is seeking transportation services for the relocation of one Aircraft Rescue & Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicle from Juneau, Alaska to Palmer, Alaska. Due to Juneau's lack of road access to the Alaska highway system, transportation will require a combination of marine transportation from Juneau, Alaska, to an appropriate mainland port and overland commercial trucking from the mainland port to the final destination in Palmer, Alaska. The Contractor shall be responsible for coordinating and completing the transportation of the vehicle from origin to final destination, including all marine and land transportation, transfers, loading, unloading, scheduling, and other services necessary to complete the move safely and legally.
