Full Description

(a) Notice of Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Concerns. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for award to service-disabled veteran owned small businesses (SDVOSB). Offers or quotations from other than a SDVOSB will not be considered and shall be rejected. (b) Definitions. As Used in the Solicitation: "Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business" (1) Means a small business concern - (i) With not less than 51 percent of which is owned by one or more service-disabled veterans or, in the case of any publicly owned business, not less than 51 percent of the stock of which is owned by one or more service-disabled veterans; and (ii) The management and daily business operations of which are controlled by one or more service-disabled veterans or, in the case of a veteran with permanent and severe disability, the spouse or permanent caregiver of such veteran. (2) Service-Disabled veteran means a veteran, as defined in 38 U.S.C. 101(2), with a disability that is service connected, as defined in 38 U.S.C. 101(16). The required services cover the tree removal, stump removal, pruning, trimming, cabling, cavity repair, root pruning, removal and disposal of all associated waste and debris, at three (3) National Cemetery locations (two (2) in Texas and two (2) combined in Kansas. A proposed fixed price contract is intended with the possibility of multiple awards being allowed. The solicitation will be issued with a NAICS code of 561730 ( Arborist Services, Tree Removal Services and Tree Services) with a size standard of $6,000,000.00.
