Truckee Regional Library

The Truckee Regional Library project involves the construction of a nearly 20,100-square-foot, single-story public library facility with accompanying outdoor community spaces, including patios, gathering areas, and a dedicated children’s outdoor reading and play zone. The project will also provide approximately 37 parking spaces, complete utility infrastructure, and enhancements to circulation for vehicles, pedestrians, and bicycles to improve access and safety. A key component includes the realignment of a segment of the Truckee River Legacy Trail to accommodate the new development and ensure seamless connectivity for trail users. Additionally, the existing three-legged intersection at Brockway Road and Palisades Drive will be converted into a four-legged intersection to offer direct, efficient access to the library site, supporting both traffic flow and community convenience. The project is being led by the Truckee Library Joint Powers Authority and is slated for location in Truckee, California, with a forecast release date of July 30, 2026. Primary coordination is handled by Joshua White, Facilities Program Manager, and Katherine Waugh, Senior Project Manager.
