TSA Academy Repairs FY26

The project at the TSA Training Academy, located within FLETC Glynco, involves comprehensive facility upgrades across the modular buildings known as The Academy. The scope of work includes: • Replacing all wall-mounted package HVAC units throughout the modulars. BG0797, 0774, 0712, 0714, 0713, 0709, 0710, and 0713 57) 3.5 ton coated coils, single source heat pump, heat strips 8) 3.0 ton coated coils, single source heat pump, heat strips 39) 4.0 ton coated coils, single source heat pump, heat strips 1) 5.0 ton coated coils, single source heat pump heat strips. • Installing 134 ceiling fans across the TSA Academy. • Replacing the large outdoor canopy fan with a 12-foot diameter, outdoor duty-rated unit. • Replacing exterior doors with steel doors at the following locations: o Building 709: Both entrances require two sets of steel double doors with view ports, each measuring 6 feet wide by 7 feet high (6'0" x 7'0"), to replace failing glass doors. o Buildings 711, 712, and 713: Canopy side entrances require one set of steel double doors with viewing ports, each measuring 6 feet wide by 7 feet high (6'0" x 7'0"). o Door locks to be specified by FLETC OSPR lock and key. • Installing ADA ramps at BG0711, BG0714, BG0774, and BG0773. • Modifying the ramp at BG0709 to allow ADA personnel to pass safely. • Repairing soft floor spots in BG0713G and BG0711, each approximately 40 square feet each. • Installing approximately 6,000 square feet of 4-inch concrete to complete the bleacher area under the canopy at the TSA Academy. • Cleaning out trench drains adjacent to the canopy at the TSA Academy. These improvements are designed to enhance comfort, accessibility, energy efficiency, and security within the Academy’s training environment.
