This contract is a solicitation issued by the Department of Defense Fluid Handling Division for the procurement of 3,920 feet of seamless copper metallic tubing. The tubing must have an outer diameter of 0.675 inches and a wall thickness of 0.065 inches, provided in random lengths of 12 to 20 feet with a drawn temper. Technical specifications are governed by MIL-T-24107B, and eddy current testing per ASTM E243 is an acceptable alternative to hydrostatic testing. The procurement allows for a quantity variance of plus or minus 10 percent, with delivery required within 157 days after the order. The contract mandates strict adherence to DLA packaging requirements and MIL-STD-129 marking standards, with preservation following Federal Specification MIL-C-3993. Quality assurance requires sampling in accordance with MIL-STD-1916 or ASQ H1331, utilizing a zero-based sampling plan. Environmental restrictions are explicitly stated, prohibiting the intentional addition of mercury or mercury-containing compounds and the use of Class I ozone-depleting chemicals. Delivery is set as FOB Origin, with inspection and acceptance occurring at the destination, specifically the DLA Distribution DDSP New Cumberland facility in Pennsylvania.
