Sealed Bid Proposals will be received by the City of Tuscaloosa, at the Council Chamber of City Hall, 2201 University Boulevard, on Thursday, July 23rd at 9:00 a.m. local time for this project, at which time bids will be opened and read. Pre-Bid Conference: Attendance at the MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference is required in order for a General Contractor to submit a bid on this Project. The Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the Tuscaloosa National Airport Terminal, 7601 Robert Cardinal Airport Rd, on Tuesday, June 30th at 2:00 p.m. local time. Project Scope: _The following scope of work will occur at Tuscaloosa National Airport: This project is Bid Package #2 for the paving and final grading of the Cargo and Operations Overflow Apron. Work Items include grading pavement areas to subgrade elevation, placement and compaction of aggregate base course, paving asphalt and concrete pavements, tie into Taxiway A, installation of electronically controlled access gates, construction of tractor-trailer driveway and passenger car driveway, and grading of turf shoulders for all paved areas. Award of the contract will be made within fifty (50) calendar days from the date of the bid opening.
