This procurement is for a QL4 overhaul of four "Condition F" Motoren und Turbinen-Union (MTU) 20V4000M93L main propulsion diesel engines for the U.S. Coast Guard's 154' Fast Response Cutter (FRC). The Surface Forces Logistics Center, Patrol Boat Product Line, requires this specialized overhaul to ensure the operational readiness of these critical assets. The ability to dyno at 100% rated power on site is required. The MTU 20V4000M93L is a 20-cylinder diesel engine. This contract is a noncompetitive requirement expected to be awarded to the OEM, Rolls-Royce Solutions America (RRSA)/MTU Inc., to ensure the long-term reliability of the FRC fleet. The Coast Guard continues to take delivery of these cutters, emphasizing the ongoing need for comprehensive maintenance and support for these engines.
