The U.S. Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM) Joint Warfighting Center (JWFC) is hosting an Industry Information Day on June 13, 2009, from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM at its Suffolk, Virginia facility. This event aims to initiate market research for upcoming joint training support requirements, focusing on future joint training support services and contracts. It offers private industry participants an opportunity to engage with government representatives, including Program Directors and Group Chiefs, who will provide an overview of the JWFC mission and future support requirements. After initial briefings, breakout sessions will allow industry members to ask detailed questions, and a reading room with planning documents will be available for review. The event is informational only, not a solicitation or request for proposals, and is intended to gather industry feedback and ideas for forthcoming competitive acquisitions. Participation is open to all interested industry members, including small businesses, with registration required by June 10, 2009, limiting each company to five representatives due to space constraints. Security measures include parking in an overflow lot and a prohibition on portable electronic devices within the compound. No security clearance is required, all briefings will be unclassified, and participants must present a government-issued photo ID to obtain event badges. The agenda features check-in, an overview and future requirements briefings, followed by breakout sessions for discussion, concluding at 1:00 PM when badges must be returned. Attendees are responsible for their own costs, and any information provided will be equally accessible to all participants.
