Full Description

TITLE: Procurement for a contract with the Society of Mexican American Engineers and Scientists (MAES). The Department of the Army (DA) established the Army Diversity Roadmap to set clear and concise direction that will position the Army to recruit, develop and retain the most gifted people our nation has to offer. The Department of the Army (DA) issued HQDA EXORD 003-12: Execution of Selected Army-Wide Outreach Events, Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD. Mission and Installation Contracting Command - Fort Hood, TX intends to award a sole source agreement with MAES, a large business, for the following services: 1. MAES Industry Advisory Council; 2. MAES Membership Access; 3. MAES Symposium; and 4. National Leadership Academy. This acquisition is conducted in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) (1) Soliciting from a Single Source. The Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available due to only one responsible source and no other service will satisfy agency requirements. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 611310 - Colleges, Universities and Professional Schools with a size standard of $7.0 million. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. This notice of intent is not a request for quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability by responding within 15 days after the date of electronic publication of this synopsis. All responses must be provided no later than 10:00 am CDT 11 September 2013. A determination not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
