Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) is soliciting bids from Contractors with qualifications, experience, and knowledge to provide Ultrasonic Rail Flaw detection services for SacRT’s 85-mile open 115RE rail system. as specified in Section 2.0. It is the policy of the U.S. Department of Transportation that Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), as defined in 49 C.F.R. Part 26, are encouraged to participate in the performance of contracts financed in whole or in part with federal funds. As a condition of federal grant assistance, SacRT has adopted a DBE program for SacRT's federally-funded contracts. Consequently, the DBE requirements of 49 C.F.R. Part 26 apply to this contract.No DBE goal has been established for this Contract. However, if subcontracting opportunities exist for the work required for this Contract, Bidders/Proposers must ensure that DBEs have the opportunity to participate in the performance of this Contract and must take all necessary and reasonable steps to obtain DBE participation. Contractor must not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability or age in the award and performance of subcontracts.
