Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) Support Services

The Home Office is seeking a provider for Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) Support Services to fulfill its statutory duty under Section 55 of the Borders, Citizenship and Immigration Act 2009. The primary objective is to safeguard and promote the welfare of children arriving in the UK without a parent or guardian, ensuring their immediate needs are met before they enter local authority care. The scope of work is divided into two core service areas: the delivery of services at the Kent Intake Unit and the provision of orientation sessions to help children navigate the asylum process. These services will be delivered on an as-required basis and in collaboration with other Home Office suppliers and authorities. The contract is estimated to have a total value of 5.4 million pounds including VAT, with an initial performance period from 25 January 2027 to 24 January 2030 and a possible 12-month extension to January 2031. Award decisions will be based on a weighted evaluation of 70 percent quality and 30 percent price.
