The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, acting through the National Ocean Service Navigation Response Branch, intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order for two Universal SONAR Mounts. These mounts are required to stabilize SONAR sensors for hydrographic survey work and emergency response across various vessel types. Due to the specialized nature of the equipment, the government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Inertia Labs, LLC, as they are identified as the only provider capable of meeting the specific requirements for sensor installation freedom. The acquisition falls under NAICS code 332710 and is being conducted using simplified acquisition procedures. The contract stipulates a delivery timeline of no more than six weeks from the receipt of the order. While the government is pursuing a sole source award under the authority of 41 USC 253(c)(1), it allowed for the submission of capability statements from other interested parties to determine if a competitive procurement is warranted. All inquiries and documentation regarding this requirement are managed by the National Capitol Acquisition Division.
