The University invites proposals for pre-qualification from Proponents who are owners of, and are legally able to sell verifiable Emission Performance Credits (EPC), that are registered in the Alberta EPC Registry. Successfully pre-qualified Proponents will be eligible to participate on future solicitations by the University for the acquisition of carbon credits registered within the Alberta EPC. The University currently uses approximately 50,000 Tonnes within a year period. The University is seeking to achieve cost saving measures by buying these Alberta EPCs at advantageous prices throughout the term of the Agreement. This Pre-Qualification opportunity will remain open until June 30, 2036. Throughout the Term, additional Proponents may request to become a pre-qualified Alberta EPC providers.
