In accordance with 10 U.S. C 2304(c)(2) as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source," and approved in sole source justification 10_8502, the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) awarded Norhtrop Grumman Systems Corporation a cost plus fixed fee delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-10-G-0004 for Unmanned Aircraft System Control Segment (UCS) Architecture working group support. N00019-10-G-0004 was awarded sole source to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation via a separate contract action to enable Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation to provide supplies and services in support of the various weapon systems they provide the US Navy. Northrop Grumman is the designer and integrator of the Broad Area Maritime Surveillance (BAMS) Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS), the Global Hawk UAS, the BAMS-Demonstrator UAS, and the Fire Scout UAS. Accordingly, it is the only contractor with the requisite design and technical knowledge and expertise of each of the aforementioned weapons systems the Naval Air Systems Command's over-arching control segment architecture working groups.
