Updated National Dislocated Worker Grant Program Guidance and Application Information

The National Dislocated Worker Grant (DWG) Program, administered by the Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration under WIOA Title I, Section 170, provides funding to state and local workforce agencies to address economic dislocations and public health emergencies. The program focuses on Disaster Recovery and Employment Recovery, offering temporary disaster-relief employment and training activities. Funding is available through emergency applications, capped at 1 million dollars to facilitate rapid response, and full applications for larger amounts. The period of performance generally does not exceed 36 months from the project start date, with a possible one-time extension of up to 12 months. Applicants must maintain active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) and provide a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI).
