Upper Truckee River Bridge Scour Protection Project

The Upper Truckee River Bridge Scour Protection Project entails comprehensive civil and environmental construction activities focused on stabilizing the riverbank and bridge foundation against erosion. Work includes the installation of rip rap scour protection, temporary best management practices, traffic control measures, and coordination for utility protection. Contractors must ensure full compliance with all applicable regulatory permits, salvage and replant native willows, and revegetate all disturbed upland areas to restore ecological function. All activities must adhere strictly to the project construction drawings, bid documents, Special Provisions, City of South Lake Tahoe Public Improvements and Engineering Standards, and the 2022 California Department of Transportation Standard Specifications.
