The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, has issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking input from prospective small and large contractors regarding a future Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract for maintenance dredging of the Sacramento and Stockton Deep Water Ship Channels in northern California. This RFI is intended to gather industry feedback on contract terms and capabilities, rather than serve as a solicitation or invitation for bids. The contract’s estimated value ranges between $25 million and $100 million, covering activities such as mobilization, dredging sediment removal, upland placement area operations, and environmental monitoring including water quality and fish surveys. The IDIQ contract will support annual maintenance dredging over a term potentially lasting three to five years and will be procured through an Invitation-for-Bids process. Contractors are invited to respond with information about their capabilities, including their ability to operate multiple dredges simultaneously, daily dredging capacity, material pumping distances, and compliance with environmental requirements. The Corps also seeks feedback on preferred contract duration and mobilization readiness within 20 calendar days of a notice to proceed. Responses must be submitted within 10 days following the notice publication, acknowledging that participation is voluntary and does not constitute a commitment to contract award or reimbursement of response costs. The point of contact for submissions and inquiries is the USACE Sacramento District Contract Specialist, Angkham Sybangone.
