Solicitation Number: FA2517-17-Q-6083 Notice Type: Presolicitation Synopsis: The 21st Contracting Squadron at Peterson AFB is preparing to fulfill a requirement for the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) Cadet Move - Joint Personal Property Shipments Office (JPPSO), Colorado Springs, Colorado. The services required are for the packing, containerization and drayage of personal property of the USAFA graduating Cadets at the USAFA, Colorado. The Contractor shall furnish all personnel, equipment, facilities, supplies, services, vehicles and materials necessary, except as specified as Government-furnished, for the preparation of personal property shipments and related services of graduating Air Force Cadets at the USAFA, Colorado. Contractor tasks include, but are not limited to, the following: preparation and packing of articles, weighing, banding, loading and containerization of shipments, affixing appropriate security seals, marking, inventorying and preparing packing list of household goods preparation, drayage and daily removal of debris, and holding of shipments at Contractor warehouse until released to freight forwarder/Transportation Service Provider for onward movement. These services will be performed within the months of May and June and will be accomplished at two locations within the USAFA The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 488991 with a size standard of $27.5M. This acquisition will be a 100% Small Business set-aside. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price requirements contract with one base year and four one year options.The period of performance is estimated to be 1 March 2018 to 31 February 2023. A written solicitation will be posted to this site on approximately 11 December 2017 to facilitate proposal preparation and evaluation. Prior to award, contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (https://www.sam.gov). The Government will award a contract to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation requirements and will be most advantageous to the Government.
