This contract involves design and construction services aimed at repairing and upgrading the fire protection systems at Hangar I, USCG Air Station Kodiak, Alaska. The project requires demolishing existing high bay sprinkler and deluge systems and installing a new wet pipe sprinkler system alongside a high expansion foam system. Additionally, the existing addressable fire alarm system will be replaced with a standard King Fisher conventional fire alarm system both in Hangar I and Building 24, which will be modified to house fire pumping equipment. The scope also includes installing fire suppression system piping between the two buildings, environmental services, abatement, inspections, facility assessments, demolition, restoration, and repaving of a parking lot affected by excavation. This is a pre-solicitation notice, and the solicitation along with supporting technical documents will be issued at a later date via the Federal Business Opportunities website. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is issuing a draft program solicitation for the renovation of Hangar 750 at Pope Army Airfield, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
