Also, apply new, high quality, weather resistant, sealant around the awning to make sure no water intrusion occurs without taking the awning off. Reinstall or replace any worn weather stripping. Finally, conduct a post inspection insuring no leaks remain (water wand), confirming all parts are weather-tight. Replace all window interior trim pieces that were damaged with the same materials.
