Unified School District 489 is soliciting proposals for an HVAC air filter supply contract for the remainder of the 2026-2027 fiscal year. The selected vendor will be responsible for supplying a wide variety of filters, primarily requiring a minimum MERV 8 efficiency rating and UL 900 listing, with specific exceptions for certain poly filter sizes. The contract covers multiple district facilities, including various elementary and middle schools, the high school, and administrative and transportation centers. A critical requirement of this agreement is that the vendor must warehouse the annual inventory and perform quarterly deliveries in December, March, and June, as the district lacks the storage capacity for a single annual shipment. Proposals will be evaluated based on a 100-point scale, with the highest weight placed on the cost proposal and compliance with ASHRAE and UL specifications. Vendors must provide detailed product specifications, manufacturer data, and three professional references. Pricing must remain firm for the duration of the term and must include all costs for warehousing, handling, and freight. Payment will be issued by the district upon the receipt of each quarterly delivery. The award will be granted to the responsive and responsible proposer who achieves the highest total score.
