This Request for Information (RFI) seeks to identify small business suppliers capable of providing domestically grown, processed, and packed fresh fruits and vegetables (FF&V) to school systems across various counties in Florida on an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity basis. The USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is gathering information to understand market availability and capabilities but is not soliciting bids, quotations, or proposals and is under no obligation to purchase. Respondents must specify which fresh produce items from an extensive product list they can supply, the units of issue available, any quantity restrictions, geographic capability relative to the listed Florida counties, and compliance with food safety standards and domestic origin requirements. Interested firms are requested to provide detailed company information, including size classification under NAICS code 311991, capability to source products from small businesses, registration status in federal systems such as SAM, and previous relevant contract experience. Documentation supporting 100% domestic origin, traceability, and food safety certifications is also required. This RFI serves solely as an information-gathering tool to aid USDA AMS in developing a potential acquisition strategy for a pilot program supplying fresh produce to designated Florida school districts, with no funding currently authorized. Responses are limited to five pages and must be submitted electronically by the specified deadline, with further updates and solicitations posted via the Federal Business Opportunities website.
