The contractor shall design, test and deliver a variant of the User Access System (UAS) viewer software used by SP 24 (Navigation Branch) to run on the SSI Weapons System Workstation (WSW). The current version of the UAS viewer software used on the Navigation workstation is 5.72 and runs under a Sun Solaris 2.6 operating system. The SSI WSW will be running the Linux operating system. The scope of this order includes all activity required to deliver a Linux version of the UAS for the Navigation branch's use. Negotiations will be conducted with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS), Pittsfield, MA. GDAIS is the sole manufacturer of the TRIDENT (II) D5 Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Fire Control System and Attack Weapons Control System and the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise, and in-place capability to perform the required effort.
