The Military Sealift Command Ship Support San Diego intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract to Louis Allis, a division of Alliance Specialty Motors, for the procurement of specific sliding block motor seals for the USNS SUPPLY. This action is being pursued under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 because the vendor possesses the original manufacturing specifications and drawings required for the specific part numbers involved. While the government intends to negotiate with a single source, interested parties may submit written expressions of interest and evidence of their capabilities to perform the work. Respondents must provide dollar estimates, level of effort, and a detailed explanation of how they can identify and correct field problems without detailed design drawings. All qualifications will be evaluated to determine if the procurement should be shifted to a competitive basis.
