This is a sources sought announcement in accordance with RFO FAR 15.101(c) Request for Information and in anticipation of a future procurement. Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) is conducting market research to determine industry?s capability to provide Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) direct procurement of various bearings, seals, gaskets, pumps, and other components identified in support of Long Lead Time Material (LLTM) for the six Ships Service Diesel Generators (SSDGs) aboard the USS MAKIN ISLAND (LHD-8). Fairbanks Morse, LLC d/b/a Fairbanks Morse Defense is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the required components. These items must be procured as OEM replacement parts to ensure compatibility in form, fit, and function with the existing diesel generator configuration. See Statement of Work (Enclosure (1). SWRMC is especially interested in determining small business capability and interest. SWRMC is contemplating award of a firm fixed price contract for the requirement specified in the attached Statement of Work The applicable NAICS code is 333618 - Other Engine Equipment Manufacturing. What/Where to Submit: Interested companies should submit, on company letterhead, a letter of interest including the name, telephone number, mailing address, and e-mail address of one point of contact. Please scan your letter of interest and email it to Contract Specialists, Kristin Liljestrom, at kristin.j.liljestrom.civ@us.navy.mil, and Mira Brown, at miramaje.c.brown.civ@us.navy.mil, with USS MAKIN ISLAND (LHD-8), Ships Service Diesel Generators (SSDGs) Long Lead Time Material (LLTM) Direct item Replacements in the subject field and hand or digitally sign your letter of interest. The letter of interest should include a brief description of your company and its ability to provide all the OEM materials no later than the required delivery date of 17 August 2027 or best availability as set forth in Enclosure (1), and answers to the following specific questions. Please limit your response to no more than five (5) pages. Is your company a small or large business as defined by the Small Business Administration (SBA) under NAICS code 333618 (the small business size standard is 1,500 in number of employees)? If small business please specify (small, 8(a), women-owned, HUBZone, veteran-owned, or service-disabled veteran-owned) [more than one category may be selected as applicable].
