Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) Procurement Code 410, San Diego, CA, intends to solicit and award a Sole Source, Firm Fixed Price contract for the RSL Fiber Systems navigation and task light illuminators for the USS SOMERSET (LPD-25) to RSL Fiber Systems, LLC., 473 Silver Lane, E. Hartford, CT 06118. This sole source contract is for LED masthead illuminators. RSL Fiber Systems manufactures and provides US Navy LPD17 Class ships with navigation and signaling light systems. This contract action is for supplies for which the Government will solicit and negotiate with only one source per 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302; only one responsible source and no other supplies or services satisfy the requirement.
