The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide a comprehensive Utility Management System and related services, with the goal of efficiently managing its utility expenses, which exceed $8 million annually. The scope includes handling a high volume of utility bills across various utilities such as electricity, natural gas, propane, water, and solid waste, received from approximately 19 vendors each month. A notable aspect of the billing involves a consolidated statement for traction power substations, which encompasses around 30 meters and necessitates specialized processing. Additionally, VTA manages complex billing scenarios, including summary accounts that combine multiple meters with differing billing periods, requiring sophisticated management and reconciliation. The contract, valued between $8 million and $12 million, is part of a solicitation posted on July 15, 2024, with a response deadline of August 23, 2024. The project falls under the NAICS code 561320, indicating a focus on administrative and support services.
