The National Park Service, Yosemite National Park, (YOSE) has identified a requirement for a five (5) year contract, with the base year beginning on or about April 1, 2009 and four (4) option years based on availability of funds.The solicitation will be issued electronically on the Department of Interiors (DOI) National Business Center (NBC) web site at http://www.ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. Interested contractors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the web site. Contractors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://www.ideasec.nbc.gov. The service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing the web site for all information relevant to this solicitation. Plan holders will be required to visit this web site periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the procurement documents. No other notifications will be sent. Project description: The anticipated order includes, but is not limited to the following: The contractor shall remove class B bio-solids from Yosemite National Park, El Portal Wastewater Treatment Facility, El Portal, CA 95318, and haul them for disposal at a State of California permitted agriculture disposal site, authorized landfill or other State of California approved site in accordance to mandated regulations 2000-10-DWQ and CFR 40 503 regulations and with the required permits to haul bio-solids. The contractor must possess current permit from the California Water Quality Control Board (CWQCB). Yearly amount of sludge hauled from this facility is approximately140 tons. Goverment Furnished Property (GFP): two (2) trailers. This procurement is designated as a Small Businesses Set-Aside. The Request for Proposals (RFP) will be issued o/a February 18, 2009 with a closing date of o/a March 18, 2009. Award selection will be based on the overall best value to the government after considering price and factors other than price.
