Full Description

The Department of Homeland Security, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), intends to issue a modification to the existing ICE Contract NumberACB-4-C-0001 to add transportation services in support of the Broward Transitional Center, Pompano Beach, FL, by other than full and open competition in accordance with FAR subpart 6.302-1(2)(ii) to GEO Group, Inc. (GEO), 621 NW 53rd St., Suite 700, Boca Raton, FL 33487-8242. The requirement involves providing and maintaining all management, supervision, manpower, training, licenses, equipment, supplies, certificates, insurance, pre-employment screening, communication capabilities and vehicles to provide transportation services for other than hospital and local transportation requirements. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Transportation Service is critical to ICE to achieve its mission. It is in the best interest of DHS ICE to have the aforementioned services performed without threat of disruption of services. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed modification with the intent to issue a direct award to GEO Group, Inc was based on market research via CCR and SBA Dynamic Small Business Search websites.
