Vacant Building & Emergency Securing (SC)

The City of Hartford is seeking experienced, State of Connecticut registered carpenters to provide 24-hour on-call services for boarding and securing vacant and damaged buildings as directed by the Division of Licenses and Inspections. This solicitation is specifically set aside for Small Contractor firms already registered with the City of Hartford. The contract operates on an as-needed basis, with quantities estimated from previous years' usage, and features a base term of one year with the possibility of up to three one-year extensions and a final unilateral three-month extension at the City's discretion. Award decisions are made on a trade-off basis rather than solely on price, evaluating factors such as work quality, completion records, cooperation, and compliance with Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprise requirements.
