AI Contract Overview
This contract specifies the procurement of a safety relief valve with NSN 4820-01-256-8744, quantity of one unit, under solicitation SPE7MC-26-T-161F, with a required delivery date of January 26, 2028, and a delivery lead time of 533 days. The item is classified as a critical application component and must comply with detailed technical and quality standards referenced through the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements. Manufacturing may require casting or forging processes, and the government may not possess the necessary tooling, necessitating direct coordination for sourcing support. The valve must adhere to stringent material restrictions, including zero intentional use of mercury or mercury-containing compounds except in specific exempted applications such as batteries, lamps, sensors, or weapon systems, with portable mercury-containing devices requiring shock-proof design and secondary containment. Class I ozone-depleting chemicals are strictly prohibited. Packaging must meet MIL-STD-2073-1E and MIL-STD-129 specifications, with oxygen clean packaging and marking requirements applied. The delivery is FOB origin, with no quantity variance allowed, and inspection and acceptance occur at the point of origin. The item is to be shipped to the DLA Distribution facility in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, following prescribed transportation protocols. The supplier must ensure full compliance with all referenced standards including MIL-STD-1330E and SPE7MC-26-T-161F, and any substitute materials or chemicals require prior approval.
