This document is a market survey issued by the U.S. Army to assess commercial industry capabilities for providing road wheel blanks, specifically steel wheel disk material used for Bradley Fighting Vehicles. The primary goal is to gather information on manufacturer experience, production capacity, lead times, and the ability to meet military packaging requirements. This request is for informational purposes only; it is not a request for proposal, and no contract is awarded directly from this announcement. Respondents are asked to provide detailed company information, including business size and technical expertise with steel materials. The government provides specific guidelines for marking trade secrets and proprietary data as confidential to ensure protection under 18 U.S.C. 1905, though it notes that overly restrictive markings may limit the evaluation by support contractors. Participation is voluntary, and no reimbursement is provided for the effort involved in responding to the questionnaire.
