Vertical Carousel System Installation

This is a synopsis and does not obligate the government to award; the government reserves the right to withdraw the synopsis and any forthcoming solicitation without due compensation to potential offerors. This announcement does not constitute a Request for Quote. The period of performance is from 1 Jun 2015 through 30 Jun 2015. The solicitation shall incorporate provisions and clauses that are in effect through the most current Federal Acquisition Circular. This action is being procured under NAICS code 811310 (Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance) and related Small Business Standard - $7,500,000.00. The solicitation is expected as Request for Quote (RFQ) issued as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The government is contemplating award of a firm-fixed price purchase order to provide the following to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL), New Jersey: 1) Tear down and removal of one existing vertical storage carousel. 2) Installation of three Government furnished automated Kardex vertical storage carousels. 3) Purchase 320 plastic bins for vertical storage system, size 11" x 7" x 23 5/8" with 3 dividers. 4) Purchase 1,458 plastic bins for vertical storage system, size 4 1/8 " x 4" x 23 5/8" with 5 dividers. 5) Purchase 540 plastic bins for vertical storage system, size 6 5/8" x 4" x 23 5/8" with 3 dividers. The contractor will provide necessary hardware for the storage system and install per the manufacturer's specifications, and provide certified Kardex technicians that can install the automated vertical storage carousels. The vendor will be responsible for the installation of all power/electrical wiring to the carousel systems. This is a commercial acquisition. All prospective offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (previously Central Contractor Registration) in order to do business with the government. The solicitation will be issued on or about 5 May 2015. The due date for proposals will be posted in the solicitation. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities web page; (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). Paper copies will not be made available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon interested contractors to monitor the Fed Biz Opps web page frequently for updates/amendments to the solicitation.
