AI Contract Overview
The U.S. Air Force, through the 421st Supply Chain Management Squadron at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, is conducting market research to identify potential sources for the new manufacture of the vibrator ignition coil with part number 10-614500-1 and NSN 2925-01-421-7473RV, intended for use on the TF33 platform. This effort is a Sources Sought Synopsis under FAR Part 10 and does not constitute a solicitation or commitment to award a contract; no funds are currently available for this requirement. The government seeks capable vendors who can fully manufacture the item, including procurement of component parts, inspection, testing, preservation, packaging, shipping, and management of supply chain challenges such as diminishing manufacturing sources and long-lead-time parts. The estimated spares requirement is 11 units, and potential contractors may be responsible for nonrecurring engineering costs to qualify as an approved source. The North American Industry Classification System code is 336412, with a size standard of 1,500 employees, and the government is open to responses from all business types including small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, 8(a) firms, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, HUBZone businesses, and women-owned small businesses. Responses must be submitted through the designated “Add Me to Interested Vendors” button on the sourcing portal, and all communications should be directed to 421scms.requirements.workflow@us.af.mil. The market research window closed on August 6, 2026, and the information gathered will inform the future acquisition strategy, which may include breaking the requirement down by airframe or pursuing a small business set-aside.
