The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the procurement of video mirrors intended for transit buses, under contract number MAINT 212-3000. The project is set for a contract duration of three years, with the possibility of two additional renewal years, and targets vendors in Albany, New York. The solicitation emphasizes equal opportunity, with a specific goal of achieving 30% participation from minority, women, and disadvantaged business enterprises, and mandates that proposals be submitted by 1:00 PM on November 3, 2025. Interested vendors must complete online registration at the CDTA website starting September 24, 2025, to access the full RFP document, which provides detailed instructions for proposal preparation and submission. The procurement process is governed by strict restrictions on lobbying communications under State Finance Law §§139-j and 139-k, requiring vendors to limit contacts during the restricted period from initial notice through contract award. CDTA reserves the right to negotiate based on the proposals received but retains the authority to reject any or all submissions without obligation. The contract size is estimated between $500,000 and $2,000,000, and the procurement aims to support vendors with no prior similar contracts within the past five years. The project underscores the agency’s commitment to non-discrimination and inclusivity, providing full opportunities for minority, women, and disadvantaged business enterprises to participate. The primary contact for the procurement process is Stacy Sansky, Director of Procurement, who can be reached via email or phone for further inquiries.
