The Bureau of Prisons has a requirement for occupational training provider services in culinary arts for inmates at the Federal Correctional Institution located in Aliceville, Alabama. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 611519 (Size Standard: $14.0 million). All duties shall be performed in accordance with standards and methods generally accepted within the industry and compliance with all Federal and State policy and regulations. The culinary arts education program must fall under the provider's umbrella of accreditation and lead to transferrable credits resulting in a college certificate, A.A., A.A.S. or A.S. degree. Providers must be accredited by a recognized accrediting agency. It is estimated that the contractor will provide 1500 hours of instruction per year. The service will normally be performed in six hour sessions, with an estimated number of 30 hours per week between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. A session is defined as one hour. The Government contemplates awarding of an indefinite-delivery, requirements-type contracts with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from the future solicitation. The contract period shall consist of a 12 month base period with four 12 month option periods for renewal. The solicitation will be available on or about February 26, 2014 and will be distributed solely through General Service Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information regarding this acquisition. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The response date for the solicitation is March 26, 2014. No collect calls will be accepted. No telephone request or written requests for the market survey will be accepted. All responses to the solicitations may be submitted by mail or via email to ccorcoran@bop.gov. Please note: All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. The website for registration is www.sam.gov.
