The Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically the James J. Peters VA Medical Center, is conducting market research to identify qualified firms capable of leasing specialized urology equipment, specifically Olympus brand cystoscopes, for the Hudson Valley VA Medical Center. The requirement is for four flexible urology cysto-nephro videoscopes compatible with both current and future surgical software systems (Endo Works and Endo Soft), equipped with features such as improved insertion ability, patient comfort, Narrow Band Imaging technology for enhanced visualization, and a large working channel to accommodate various endoscopic devices. The lease agreement must include a service component ensuring replacement scopes are provided within 24 hours if any scope is compromised or breaks. The existing lease has been active for three years, and the new contract’s performance period is one year with the option for two additional years, structured as a fixed-price contract under NAICS code 339113. This solicitation is not a request for quotes or proposals but a market survey intended to gather information about potential sources, including small businesses and various socio-economic categories such as service-disabled veteran-owned and veteran-owned small businesses. Interested vendors are required to submit written responses by a specified deadline, including company details, a capability statement, examples of previous work, DUNS number, and socioeconomic classifications. Certification in VetBiz and registration in the System for Award Management are mandatory for certain small business categories. No telephone inquiries will be accepted, and firms must also register on the federal business opportunities website. The collected information will guide the government’s acquisition decisions related to this lease equipment need.
