Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Esquimalt’s Auxiliary Fleet provides operational support to RCN and foreign ships/submarines and the Department of National Defence (DND) harbour. The Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) has procured 4 x ASD Robert Allen designed tugs, 2 of which will be based in CFB Esquimalt. DND is seeking an experienced contractor to provide sufficient simulated and practical NLT ASD training to enable sixteen (16) Auxiliary Fleet SOs to safely and effectively handle ASD tugs while minimizing the risk to personnel, RCN warships, and the new tugs during the transitional period.
