The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 5, intends to enter a sole source procurement for a (Multiple Gases Delivery) for the (517) Beckley VA Medical Center, 200 Veterans Ave, Beckley, WV 25801. FAR13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items: The authority for applying the Simplified Procedures for Commercial Items of FAR 13.5 is 41 U.S.C. 1901 and is implemented by for restricting competition on this procurement via FAR 13.106-1(b)(2). Far Part 13.501(a) Sole Source (including brand name) acquisitions The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price purchase order to: Company Name: MABSCOTT SUPPLY COMPANY Address: 140 WHITESTICK ST MABSCOTT, WEST VIRGINIA 25871 Phone: +1 (555) 000-0000 The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is (425120) and the Business Size Standard is (500) employees. The hospital Operates 24 hours day and 7 days week. The gases to be purchased include, but are not limited to, compressed Medical Air USP, Oxygen USP, Carbon Dioxide USP, Nitrogen NF, Nitrous Oxide USP, Helium USP, and specialty medical gas mixtures. The vendor shall furnish all supplies and services as described herein to Beckley, to any existing or new facilities, Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC), etc. acquired during the contract period base + up to 4 option years. Medical gases is required to be stocked and readily available for patient needs. Mabscott Supply Company, is local within 20 miles to Beckley and currently in use at the facility vendor accomplishes this and meet all requirements. The estimated value of this acquisition is approximately ($64K). The estimated award date is on or before (10/1/2020). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 1:00 PM Eastern Time 9/11/2020. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Supporting evidence must be furnished in enough detail to demonstrate the ability to meet the subject requirement. This information shall be provided at no cost or obligation to the Government.
