Bid #2026-04: The County of Madera seeks a professional forester/consultant to provide environmental review and CEQA compliance services for the Walker Grade Fire Risk and Fuels Reduction Project. The project aims to create a 120-acre, 200-foot-wide shaded fuel break along a six-mile corridor of North Fork Road to mitigate wildfire risk. The consultant's scope includes developing and filing all necessary CEQA documents (potentially a Notice of Exemption), planning and flagging treatment areas, participating in bid walks for the fuels reduction work, and monitoring implementation to ensure environmental compliance. The consultant will coordinate with Madera County, Yosemite Sequoia RC&DC, and CAL FIRE.
