AI Contract Overview
The Walton County Board of Commissioners is seeking sealed proposals for the installation of a roofing system on the Walton County Government Building, located at 303 South Hammond Drive, Monroe, Georgia. The project involves applying a new TPO roofing membrane over the existing roof without removal, with specific requirements including perforating the existing roof every 100 square feet to prevent moisture entrapment, installing new insulation, and replacing flashings and counter-flashings with steel components. The contract is estimated to be valued between $500,000 and $1,500,000, with the work to be performed at the specified site in Georgia. Proposals must be submitted by December 16, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., with a mandatory pre-proposal conference scheduled for December 4, 2025, at the project site. Interested bidders can obtain solicitation documents via email from designated contacts and must include a bid bond of 5% of the proposal amount, proof of insurance, and notarized affidavits verifying compliance with employment verification laws under Georgia law, specifically E-Verify. The contract will require performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the contract value, and final acceptance hinges on on-site inspection, adherence to manufacturer specifications, and approval by Carlisle, the roofing membrane manufacturer. The scope emphasizes compliance with manufacturer standards, proper flashing, and moisture management, with the county retaining final authority for acceptance. The procurement process evaluates proposals based on the best interest of Walton County, considering factors beyond price, although specific evaluation criteria or weighting are not detailed. The contract will be administered under general conditions that include mandatory affidavits, certifications, and compliance with state laws, with no explicit federal FAR clauses but adherence to Georgia-specific legal requirements. The project emphasizes transparency, fairness, and adherence to local and manufacturer standards, ensuring a durable, moisture-resistant roofing upgrade for the county government building.
