AI Contract Overview
This contract involves the procurement of nine flat washers, identified by NSN 5310-01-699-3465, under solicitation number SPE4A6-26-T-871Z issued by the ASC Commodities Division of the Department of Defense. The washers are to be delivered within 20 days, with FOB destination, and inspection and acceptance occurring at the destination point. Packaging must comply with MIL-STD-2073-1E standards, and marking requirements follow MIL-STD-129, with no special marking needed. The washers are intended for shipment to the USS Bulkeley DDG 84, FPO AE 09565, with all transportation coordinated as per DLA procedures. Quality and technical requirements referenced in the DLA Master List are incorporated, imposing strict sampling and inspection protocols generally aligned with MIL-STD-1916 or equivalent zero-based sampling plans. The contract explicitly prohibits mercury or mercury compounds from contacting the items, except under narrowly defined exceptions. Government identification is to be removed from non-accepted supplies, and covered defense information provisions may apply. The contract establishes zero tolerance for non-conformance in samples, reinforcing the emphasis on compliance with detailed military packaging, marking, and quality assurance standards throughout fulfillment.
