AI Contract Overview
Solicitation SPE4A6-27-Q-0221 is a fixed-price, small business set-aside procurement issued by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Weapons Support ASC Commodities Division for 16,453 flat washers (NSN 5310-01-194-8679). This item is designated as an Air Force Critical Safety Item (CSI), requiring strict adherence to quality standards, including FAR 52.246-11 and inspection criteria where zero non-conformances are typically accepted. Delivery is required within 114 days after receipt of order, though a First Article Test (FAT) process may extend the total delivery duration to 354 days. The FOB point is destination for FAT requirements and origin for general deliveries, with the shipping destination located at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma. The award will be based on best value, weighing quoted delivery more heavily than past performance, though both are considered approximately equal to cost or price. Contractors must comply with rigorous security and regulatory requirements, including CMMC Level 2 certification, ITAR/EAR export controls for technical data, and DFARS 252.204-7012 for safeguarding covered defense information. Administrative requirements include the use of the Wide Area WorkFlow (WAWF) system for invoicing and payment. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and may be required to provide detailed technical documentation if offering alternate or reverse-engineered products.
