Waste Material Characterization Consulting Services ESD52026 Closing Date: 09/25/2026 04:00:00 PM PT Detail: The City of San Jose’s Environmental Services department is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide waste material characterizations for the City’s residential recycling program. The overall objective of the services is to determine the percentage by weight of Program Materials collected by San José recycling haulers and the percentage by weight of Program Materials in post-processing residue. The City will use this information to determine if its two recycling contractors are meeting their materials recovery standards and corresponding compensation. The Master Consultant Agreement is anticipated to be approximately $1,250,000. Estimated hours and deliverable timelines will be approved by City. Consultant will not perform any tasks outlined in the agreement, unless authorized by the City via a Service Order. The proposing Consultants shall have relevant education & experience, an approach, and technical capabilities that demonstrates their ability to provide the required services.
