Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City of Fife at City Hall up to the hour of11:00 a.m. PDT on December 18, 2024, for the Water Intertie Upgrade for Taylor Way and Milwaukee Way sites and will then be opened and publicly read beginning at 11:00 a.m. The work for the Water Intertie Upgrade for Taylor Way and Milwaukee Way includes installation of twopressure reducing valve (PRV) stations and intertie upgrades at different sites: one PRV station andintertie is located near the 3800 block of Taylor Way; the other PRV station and intertie is located nearthe 2300 block of Milwaukee Way. The PRV stations will be undergrounded within vaults and haveparallel 4” and 12” PRV pipe galleries within the stations. The PRV stations are located near the intertielocations for the City of Tacoma and the City of Fife, which are being upgraded as part of this contract.Additional improvements include, but are not limited to, the following: installation of approximately 197feet of 16-inch water main, 14 feet of 12-inch water main, installation of approximately 45 feet of 8” PVCstorm sewer, removal of the existing pressure reducing valve station at each site, selective demolition, siterestoration, and accessories and modifications associated with the Work. The work to be completed isprovided for in the Contract Documents. Within the bid form, Schedule ‘A’ contains all work associatedwith the Milwaukee Way site; Schedule ‘B’ contains all work associated with the Taylor Way site. Asingle Prime Contractor will be selected for work at both sites based on the lowest total bid (i.e. thesummation of Schedule ‘A’ and Schedule ‘B’). A non-mandatory prebid meeting will be held at the City of Fife Public Works Facility located at 3725 Pacific Highway E, Fife, Washington 98424 on Monday, December 9, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. Bid proposals will be received only at City Hall located at 5411 23rd Street East, Fife, Washington.Proposals received after 11:00 a.m. PDT, on Wednesday December 18, 2024, will not be considered.
